Oooooh! Ahhhh! A limited edition in a very nice box.

Seriously, we waited more than a year for this beauty to arrive.
Title: Tsuro
Publisher: Calliope Games
Type: Movement/Logic
Time: 15 minutes
Age: 6+ or as soon as they can comprehend the rules and place the pieces
Skills: Dexterity, logic, planning ahead, visual tracking, frustration tolerance (Trust me, it’s a skill.)

What we love about this game: First of all, the pieces in the collector’s edition are gorgeous, but even the basic game has a beautiful design. Tsuro sets up fast and is a quick play once you know the rules. It’s another great one to pull out before dinner or bedtime.
The basic premise is that you want to be the last dragon on the board while simultaneously sabotaging your opponents by placing pieces, creating paths that the dragon pieces must follow. There are very few rules, so this game can be easily learned by a newcomer, but because the tiles are random it has great re-playability value.
Tsuro would make a great addition to your game shelf if you enjoy games such as Chess, Sequence, Santorini, and Othello.
Okay, gotta stop this post there because a certain little boy wants to play Tsuro with his mama.
What I love about Tsuro is that we get to spend time together and have a good bond. I love figuring out where to put the pieces, and the beautiful box and pieces, and how blessed we are! – Mr. D, Age 10

[…] #4 – Tsuro – Place a tile to move your dragon token and hopefully stay on the board longer than your opponent. Sabotage if you wish. The gorgeous collector’s edition is wonderful, but the common paper version is just as fun to play. 2-4 playersYou can read the original Gameschool post here. […]
