Grace…amazing, amazing grace…and lots of mercy too.

Posted by Hannah Rae on Apr 30, 2009 in faith, High/Low Thursday

Kaleb gave Gabe the chance to come clean with everything. He had until 11 PM last night to come clean with anything without any further punishment. He rose to the occasion and came forward with some biggies. Grace and mercy floweth! :)

Gabe admitted to a big BIG oops and the school gave him a get out of jail free card, this time. If it happens again he will be expelled. EXPELLED!!! Grace and mercy floweth.

Gabe is with me at work until the Salvation Army opens. He will be spending the day there doing whatever needs doing. It will be good. Sweat will floweth. :)

I am feeling loved, strong, supported, courageous, excited (is that a bad thing?), and humorous.

I get over things quickly. Maybe too quickly. I am having to force myself to stay serious about this situation, and I find myself rather funny at times. It’s so hard to keep a straight face in my meanness. :)

Today will be an adventure. Thank you, Father God, that you are not only along for the ride, but have seen the end.

Murphy needs to take a vacation!

Our Low(s)

  • Within hours the furnace at our rental house stopped working, our roof developed a bad leak over our cedar closet, and the furnace under our living room and dining room stopped working.

Our High(s)

  • Rachel is loving her new job and is fitting in well.
  • I am feeling better emotionally and our Heavenly Father is getting through to my heart.
  • God gave us favor with our furnace repair people who are working with us so we can get the necessary repairs done.

Murphy really needs to take a break so my poor husband can get some of his sanity back. In the mean time, we are TRYING to rest in our Heavenly Father.

My High

Having an amazing time of connection with my husband yesterday. He may not have known it, but the way he talked to me and listened touched my heart forever….even if it did start with his burrito blindness. :)

Drawing close to my heavenly Papa, who I know has our perfect family in the palm of His hands already, even if we can’t see it.

My Low

Giving up on the dream of a blong headed little girl named Grace becoming part of our family. Mourning and wondering if I will ever be someone’s mama.

High/Low Thursday

So my husband was asking my why I am “plagurizing” blog ideas from other bloggers. My reason? I think it’s a great way to create community! Ok, and it’s easier to think of something to write when there are other people giving you ideas.

The High

Grace was in a much better mood when I spoke to her on Monday. We actually had a real conversation and she got an “A” on a science test, which is a huge thing!!!

Kaleb comes home tonight and I will get to cuddle and kiss my wonderful hubby.

The Low

I am feeling very strong maternal instincts this week and have no idea how or with whom God wants me to use them.

It was a really good week, what can I say?
