Who is this Hannah, anyways?

So here is the typical “about me” stuff…such as favorites, hobbies, and all that jazz.

My favorite Bible passages include Isaiah 41:10, James 1, and Psalm 27. These are the ones God is really using to speak into my life right now.

My favorite books include “Redeeming Love” (Francine Rivers) the “Ruby” series (Francine Rivers), Ron Clark’s “The Essential 55″, “For Women Only” (Shaunti Feldham), the “Piercing the Darkness” series (Frank Peretti), “Last Child in the Woods” (Richard Louv), “Dare to Discipline” and “Bringing up Boys” (Dr. James Dobson), and many others.

My favorite movies include Steel Magnolias, Simon Birch, The Newsies, Lord of the Rings, The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Princess Bride, WALL-E, Life is Beautiful (in Italian) and so many others.

My favorite TV shows include 19 Kids and Counting, American Idol, Survivor, Super Nanny, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, The Amazing Race, Harry’s Law…and a bunch of other reality-type adventure shows.

My favorite period of history is late 19th early 20th century. I love how America was changing so quickly. There was technology and yet most people still lived very simple lives. I love frontier-type stuff. If I could live in another time and place, it would be late 1800′s on the frontier somewhere. That would be so exciting!

My favorite activities include knitting, playing with my critters, playing with other people’s kiddos, being “Mom” to kids who need a mom, writing, trying to be creative artistically, BLOGGING, cooking, and baking.

My favorite music includes too many artists to name, especially since Pandora came along.

Good Hannah conversation starters (like that’s hard) include babies, breast feeding, history, Jewish culture, discipline, random Bible facts, anything researchy based (especially child related), animals, nature (as in the out -of- doors),
