The Family

I want to take this opportunity to introduce you to the human members that currently make up the Stubborn family.

Kaleb (Hubby) is my loving husband of 10 years and counting. He is gifted at so many things and can learn just about anything if he needs to, especially anything to do with working with his hands. He is outrageously gifted at the computer sciences and is currently employed as an application analyst for a major paper company, although he’ll tell you that he rarely sticks to his job description. He has a huge heart and is an all or nothing….but mostly all….kind of man. I occasionally…ok, more than occasionally, have to remind him that he needs to take time for himself, as he is constantly giving to others. He loves God, loves me, loves my sister, loves our sons, and occasionally loves our pets. :)

I (Hannah) am 27 and am so glad that God knows me well enough to have given me a loving husband at a young age. My dream is to be a domestic diva, be a stay at home mom, and a children’s book author. So far, God is teaching me patience in all of these areas. I love to read, especially anything to do with child development or child rearing. I have my BS in Early Childhood Development and am currently pursuing my career as a home manager, taking care of things on the home front so Hubby can focus on what God has for him to do.

rachelchinaRachel is my younger sister. She moved in with Kaleb and myself after she graduated from high school to get a little life experience with some family around. She recently finished YWAM’s School of Strategic Ministry and is back in the U.P. after spending 4 months in India working with some of God’s favorite women and children. She has a huge heart and is very sensitive to what God is doing. She has discovered, or is discovering, recently that she has a gift and a passion for intercession. She is desperate to find out what God wants to do with her life.

Rachel is very gifted with animals and has a much more artistic hand than I do. We clash from time to time, but she is my best friend (besides Hubby), and I wouldn’t trade her for anything. She has been adjusting along with the rest of us to the transformations that our family is going through. I don’t think she knew what she was getting into when she agreed to this.

PhotobucketGabe (Not his real name)is 18 and our first son. He has a huge heart and is very loyal to his crazy, young parents. He is currently living on his own and learning that being an adult is an interesting adventure.

Jeremiah (Not his real name) is our second son. He is 12 years old and is an absolute hoot. He is extremely creative, artistic, and humorous. Every day is a journey with Miah as he heals from his traumatic past. I believe that God has a huge plan for this little boy, and I can’t wait to see what it is. Unfortunately this summer proved to be to much for him and Jeremiah ended up in long-term residential care for his and our safety back in July. Although he is no longer in our household, he will always be in our hearts, and we still expect God to do amazing things through this boy.
